Base data
This menu gives access to the main activity data and provides two reports showing links between clock stations and activities. Activities are tasks e.g. 'Filling bags - citrus' or 'Shearing sheep'. An activity can be linked to a clock for a certain period. During this period, the system records time worked by the employees using that clock as an expense in respect of that activity. For this reason, employees engaged in OTHER activities may NOT use that clock while the link exists.
11. Standard activities
This opens a list of standard activities. Activities can be added, changed or deleted. Be careful not to create a multitude of activities - it is very easy to complicate your life.
22. Clock station/activity links
Activities are linked to clocks so that you can calculate the cost of activities in terms of employee time.
33. Button/activity links
Activity buttons are needed to 'switch' clocks from one activity to another. An activity can be assigned to a particular activity button. When the button is used on the clock's button reader, the clock associates all subsequent button clockings with that particular activity.
44. Reports: Clock station/activity links
Each of these reports prints a list of links between clock stations and activities, established either through manual data entry or through the use of activity buttons. The piece work activity is shown in the first column and it is a handy tool to see if more than one clock is linked to a specific activity.
55. Reports: Clock station/activity links grouped by clocks
This printout shows which piece work activity is linked to which clock station. The clock station is in the first column here.
66. Calculation method for activities
This option is applicable where one clock is used for various activities. This is helpful to print accurate reports for clock workers in terms of time spend on activities.
