Convert

Conversion is the process whereby clock movements (raw clock data) are converted into attendance records (which is needed in the time calculation- and pay slip modules). The main reason with the conversion process, is to provide an opportunity to correct mistakes or omissions (e.g. where a worker clocked twice in quick succession, or forgot to clock) by means of fault windows.

Conversion is, without a doubt, the most important process on the system. This is also the process that can waste the most time if you do not operate it correctly. Please phone us if you feel that the process is taking too long - we have a lot of experience with this and sometimes a small adjustment can give good results.

If you have a lot of employees clocking, it is wise to convert the data weekly to decrease the pressure on pay day.
