Creating pay slips for salaried workers

The easiest way to use the system to it's full potential, is to add things on the system as it happens, and not to leave everything for pay day.

The generation of pay slips is the LAST STEP in the process of creating pay slips.
If the pay slip is generated without giving the system other information, the system will create a pay slip with their wage and recurrent items. No leave adjustments will be made and shown if the employee took leave. No loan instalments will be deducted. Advances and savings deductions can still be added.

Things to check before creating the pay slip:
1. Will the employee's services be ended during this pay period (see employee termination below)
2.a Did the employee take any leave during this period?
2.b Did the employee attend work every day? If you do not tell the system otherwise, the system will not know. Add an unpaid leave record if the employee was absent without taking any form of leave.
3. Were any loans taken out during the period?
4. Did the employee take any advances?
5. Savings plan: Did the employee bring any cash to save in a new or existing savings plan, or did he deduct any of the savings during the month.

Things that can be done on the pay slip:
1. Adding any pay slip item (recurrent or non-recurrent).
2. Savings plan deduction or deposit. The savings plan can only be started on the pay slip by choosing the fixed deduction: savings plan and adding the savings amount that should be saved each pay slip period.

Termination of services:
1. The employee's services must be terminated on the right date. Do not wait to create the employee's pay slip. You can end with a full pay period where the employee only worked a week or two, and then your termination date will most likely be wrong.
2. If his termination doesn't coincide with the pay slip period, create a pay slip separately with the correct end date.
3.a You have the option to pay out his/her leave directly on the pay slip (if leave balances have been activated). The system will ask you if you want to terminate the employee's services.
3.b Otherwise, if you do not want to pay out the employee's leave (whatever the reason may be), go to Fix employee / 3. Employment history and terminate the services from there. The system will only let you terminate his/her services if the date coincide with the pay slip date and there is no attendance/leave records/pay slips entered after the termination date.
