Exception handling during conversion

Exception handling during conversion
This allows you to specify certain actions the system should take while converting clock movements to attendance records.

Create overtime records automatically?

1. Create overtime records automatically?
Select 'Yes' if you want the system to automatically create overtime records for long periods of overtime or overtime on weekends. If you select 'No', the system will ask you in each such case to confirm that the overtime record may be created. It can be quite tedious when there are a lot of these cases and it will most likely benefit you to let the system continue automatically and later request a standard overtime report to determine if everything is fine.
2

Show overtime records exceeding normal time?

2. Show overtime records exceeding normal time?
If this option is checked, the system will stop the conversion process every time the overtime exceeds the normal time. If the records are correct, you have two options:
3. Next two records: Force the two records that are below each other together because according to your knowledge it is right.
4. First and last records of day: Select the first and the last record for the day and ignore the rest.

Discard problem clockings automatically?

3. Discard problem clockings automatically?
You should generally choose the default value of NO. Selecting YES means that if an employee clocked in but not out, or forget to clock in and then did clock out, the system will IGNORE the single clocking, resulting in no payment for the day. While this may be legally acceptable, it is quite harsh and may have other negative consequences in terms of worker attitudes.

Convert single groups

4. Convert single groups
'Yes' will give you the ability to convert employee groups one at a time. If 'No' is checked, conversion can only be done as a whole.
